Today I'm trying to post a video on the site. Let's see if it works. I've got a short video of Hailey's first dance recital and I'm gonna try to link to it. Here goes...
Okay things have gotten a little difficult lately with the whole updating thing. Right after my last update, I bought a new computer and some video editing software. Some of you may have seen the video of Hailey I posted on Youtube. I've also been try to get the new computer set up with new software and have been testing how some of my old software reacts with Windows Vista. With the video editing that I've been playing with I am going to try to post video clips of us on the site along with some pictures and such. I originally tried embedding the video but I haven't been able to get it to work right yet. I'll come up with something though and keep ya posted.
Are you kidding me? An actual update? NO WAY!!! Yeah that's right. I'm actually adding something to this forgoten abiss. I'm actually just trying to get back in the hang of it and I've got a couple ideas I'm going to try out before I start telling people that I'm updating again. We'll see how long it lasts.
It's been quite a while but I've finally got some new pics for you. Earlier this summer Grandma and Grandpa (Woodman's) came up to meet Hailey. I've also included some pictures taken on a couple camping trips.
I told you that I would let you know what we've been up to but there really isn't a whole lot to tell.
Well, I think I mentioned before that Christy is back to work full time now so we are pretty busy these days. I've been working a lot of hours at the office and both Christy and I are playing softball (on different teams unfortunately). She is playing on her women's team and I am playing on the coed team.
Hailey is just growing so fast. She is a little pig. I've been calling her Chunky Monkey. She is all rolls. She is really getting to know her own voice. I think she likes the sound of her voice. She sure does like to make her sounds. She's got one now that she has been making for about three days straight. It almost sounds like dolphins or something. It's a high pitch long yell that repeats over and over again. The next time she does it again I will record her so you can hear it. It's really something else.
Well, I guess I'll chat at ya later.
Yeah, I know... Its been a while...
But I've put up some more pictures. I'll update again and actually tell you all what we've been up to.
Don't be alarmed. This update just adds a counter to the bottom of the page. No pictures at this time. Should have a few more by Tuesday.
Want to hear a little baby talk from Hailey? Click here. Sorry about the noise in the background. The TV was one while I was recording her.
Well, I have finally got the thumbnails up and going for this most recent update. No new pictures though since the 13th. I am working on getting some little video clips up. We'll see what happens.
I've also put in a "guestbook". Ya see. I've put a lot of time updating the site. Some of you may think "not enough time". But as far as I know, Laurie is the only one looking at the site. If more of you let me know you were looking at what is put here, I would probably post more often. And opinions are great. I mean, I have two different ways of viewing Hailey's pictures; which way do you prefer? Do you like the layout? ...Any feedback would be nice. So, I'm asking when you pop in to take a look-see, please sign the guestbook and at least just say hi.
In addition, by signing the guestbook, you can automatically by notified of updates to this site.
Talk to ya soon...
Howdy Howdy! Hailey is growing so fast! Its so amazing watching her change from one day to the next. She is just so beautiful. This past week she has really just been smiling so much. And reactive.... she is getting so much more alert and aware of her surroundings. I would like to be able to update the site about every two weeks, but that is really difficult with the little one now. It was hard to remember to update before. Now that Hailey is here, it's hard to find the time. I will definately update AT LEAST once a month. I was thinking of maybe creating a mailing list and if you would like me to email you when ever I update, I could. If you would like to be on a mailing list, just let me know.
Let's see... what's new...
Aaron
was here last weekend. He was working in Pasco, WA which is just a little
over two hours away from here. I drove over and picked him up on Friday
and dropped him off at the bus station on Sunday. It was kind of cool
hanging out with the bro. The poor guy came over on Mother's Day weekend
though so he had to go hang out with two mom's that weren't his. |
|
| Judging by her fist month and a half here, Hailey is going to be the center of attention where ever she goes. Sunday, we went to Mandy and James' house for Christy's first Mother's day. Mandy cooked up some burgers and we watched a little Friends outtakes. Afterwards we went to my mom's. Lindsey (only 11 years old) planned a whole surprise get together for her (which we were late for). Lindsey organized the whole thing calling Aimee and I and setting up the time and everything. 11 years old and all ready taking charge. | |
Ah,
the bike. I have a little story about the bike... Don't get mad Aaron.
Okay, I mentioned that I picked Aaron up in Pasco. Well he had his bike
in the back of his coworkers' truck. He decided he wanted to bring it
with him. Well he put it together and took it apart several times (several
more times in one weekend than I have done in years). Well on sunday
I took him to the bus station in Spokane for the 11:00 a.m. departure.
As he was purchasing his ticket, he mentioned he had a bike. The lady
asked if he had a bike box and of course the answer is no. Who just
keeps a "bike box" laying around, much less takes one to the
bus station? The bike didn't take up that much room. Once you took the
tires off it was fine. Well we didn't have a bike box and wouldn't you
guess it.. they didn't have any either. Aaron didn't want to leave without
the bike and wouldn't let me ship the bike later so our only other choice
was go find a "bike box" and come back for the next bus that
left at 2: 40 monday morning. |

We
went to Fred Meyer's thinking they sell bikes, maybe they have a bike
box , but the bike guy only shows up there once a week. After a couple
hours of taping pieces of cardboard together we finally had ourselves
a "bike box". This box was custom fit to the bike - even down
to the whole in the top to use the seat as a handle. No wonder they
don't have them there at the station. We showed up at the station at
about 2:2o all proud that we had a bike box and for a second, we couldn't
fit the damn box in the hole in the counter to weigh it. I thought for
sure the guy at the counter was going to say that the box was too big.
After a little cussing, pushing, and shoving, we got the box in the
hole and Aaron was on his way. Sorry Aaron, but next time you come visit,
don't bring the bike. |

Now what you came here for.... Hailey... I don't have the thumbnail pages put together yet but for those of you who can't wait, you can click here for the pictures. I don't have any captions yet, but should have thumbnails and captions this weekend.
Well there is really isn't anything new to say other than we are all doing great. Hailey is going through a growth spurt or something. She went from eating every three hours to eating about every hour. That's all fine and dandy untill we want to sleep. Definately makes the nights interesting.
Softball season is starting again. I'm pretty excited but I must say I miss having Christy on our Co-ed team. Last year I was on a men's team and our Co-ed team and Christy was on a women's team and the Coed. Between the two of us we sometimes had games every night of the week. We knew that wouldn't work with Hailey so we eac h picked one team to play on. Christy chose her women's team and I picked Co-ed. We started our preseason seeding tournament this weekend and lost 15 to 19. It was quite a fun game. Hopefully we won't get seeded in the upper division. We did last year and got blown away every game. We did manage to have a good time somehow.
The stats on this site show that not many of you were interested in the site until Hailey came along. The two months before we had Hailey, we had 110 visits. In the two WEEKS after she was born, we had 116. I guess I wasn't really updating anything then either. In any case, back to the real reason your here... Hailey. Yeah, I put some more pictures up. Just a few of Easter Weekend. Probably wont have anything for another week or two so come back and check. Should be posting throughout the summer.
Oh yeah, don't be shy. We would love to hear from any of you.
Hi there. I should have pictures of Easter weekend up by sunday night / monday morning. Just been busy and tired.
Hello again. Just wanted to let you all know that we are doing great. We are getting settled in at home now and getting used to our new life. I am going back to work in two days and I think I'm going to have a lot of catching up to do. I do know that I will miss Hailey while I'm at work. I was able to get some work done while staying home which was nice. Sorry to cut it so short, but it's late and I should get some sleep. I'll keep in touch.
Well, I'm sure you've all heard the story of what happened but I thought I would just let you know how things are going now that we are back home with our new bundle of joy. Christy is still pretty sore and tired. It is fun watching her with Hailey. Even though she is tired and needs to rest, she would rather stay awake and just gaze at Hailey when she's sleeping. I don't blame her though. I find myself doing the same thing. I'm sure we are experiencing what all of you parents have all ready gone through. But I must say, everytime I look into her eyes, I am blown away by her beauty, her innocense, and every movement she makes. Every expresion, every sound, every cough and sneeze, and even her cry. ... Well I kind of got side tracked there a bit. Back to how things are going. I am going to go ahead and take a couple more days off of work next week. It looks like I'll go back on Wednesday. Hailey has been just a little angel. She really only cries when she's hungry. She has gotten a little oral fixation. At night she sometimes wakes up crying a little and when Christy goes to nurse her, she will latch on get a couple sucks in and go right back to sleep. We were trying to avoid using a pacifier, but after I saw how she quit crying at the pediatricians office when the doctor put her finger in Hailey's mouth, Christy and I agreed we should give it a shot.
Part of me cant wait until she's walking yet there's another part that wants her to stay just the way she is for ever. She's just so sweet. I just hope that I can show her as much caring as my family has shown me through out my life.
She's here!!!
Okay, I don't have much time. I just came home to get cleaned up and check on the dogs. Christy is going to stay at the hospital another night. I will update you with the details when we come home. For now, check out a few pictures of Hailey Shae.
I'm sure that by now, you've all came to the conclusion that I will never update this site. I really don't have any excuses for my lack updating. I know I've said it several time but this time I'm going to keep the site updated. I believe this time we will have plenty of interesting content to put on the site.
I'll start by telling you about the newest page. This will be strictly Hailey. So I've decided to name it none other than Hailey Shae.

Christy has been doing great throughout the pregnancy. She never got sick and other than a little back pain, she's been awesome. I'm really proud of her. Now she's starting to get a little uncomfortable though. These pictures were taken on February 16th. |

This weekend, I'll take some pictures of the nursery for everyone to see. It is really looking good. If you'd like to see a little of the unfinished product, click here.
Updating once again. This time I've got really BIG news. Isn't there a song with the words "she's havin' my baby" or something like that? Well, she's having my baby. That's right. We are gonna have a baby. As of now, it looks like the due date is "roughly" set for April 1st. We are both really excited. I can't wait to have a little boy or girl running around the house.
You may have noticed that I have taken the wedding pictures off the site. They have been up for about a year and a half but if you'd like to see any of them again, you can just email me and I could either email them to you or put them back up on the site. The site was starting to take up alot of space on the server so I just decided to get rid of some old stuff. I will definately keep you posted on the details of the pregnancy.
Thanks again for stopping by
